We deeply mourn Prof. Wolfgang Hillen who passed away suddenly on October 17th, 2010, at the age of 62. He headed the chair since 1986 and was a dedicated scientist, a demanding, yet always supportive teacher whose advice and supervision was invaluable for all students and postgraduates, and an inspiration for everybody who worked with him. His enthusiasm and expertise will be greatly missed by all of us.
